| The junior flag team led the
league from the very start, and never let it slip. In
regular season tournaments they only failed to win one,
which they were runners up in, ands they also won the
Festival of Football. In the finals they breezed through
the semis, but fell short in the final, being edged out
by South Wales. |

| The youth flag team started
the year in fine form, but were hit by GCSE's in the second
half of the season. So although they topped the league
for the first couple of months, missing the whole of the
second half of the season saw them slip down into 3rd
place in the league. This was still enough to qualify
them for the playoffs. They lost in the finals to Woodham
Warriors. |

|
| Following last season's excellent
debut, the junior kitted team was psyched up for the new
season. Just how psyched up was demonstrated by shutting
out the MK Pathfinders, the team we could not beat last
year, in the first tournament of the season. From that
moment on the team didn't look back, losing only one game
all season (to the Pathfinders) and winning 3 of the four
regular season tournaments, and topping the English Conference
league table easily. The semi finals against the Wildcats
was a see saw affair, but nothing compared to the final
against Glasgow which was undoubtedly the best game of
youth football the Thunder has ever seen. The final could
have gone either way, but in the end the Thunder triumphed
and were crowned national Champions. |
